respiridone/fluoxitine

Hi, my son has had a few weeks of disruptive bahviour at school. We have finally kicked A** and have had two big meetings, one with senior members of the school and language and communication people present and then last Friday we had a meeting with the Ed Psych. Because of my son's disruptive behaviour is there anyone out there that has had their child put on medication to help deal with the behaviour. We are all really struggling at the moment and it is affecting both school and home life >:( Today, some children told the teacher that my 11 year old son was drinking wine at break time, when the teacher confronted him he said that he was (this was of course untrue) and he doesn't realise the consequences of his actions. :no-no: I think I could do with the wine!!!! I have just drafted a letter to my GP asking him if there is anything that he could prescribe, as we are all run ragged. Any comments would be greatly appreciated. :very-sad:

Hi there ,i will post an Intro in the appropriate thread but i have tried both prozac and respiridone with my daughter who is now 14 (severe autism, severe learning difficulties, severe Chalenging behavior and non verbal ,Absence seizures) Prozac had little effect on anything then a few months later we tried Respiridone i have heard so many people say so many positive things about this drug but it just wasn't for us at first her weight sky rocketed then the violence got worse she was going into melt down every hour there was just no break it was relentless ,then the night terrors started, every time she was given it she would drop to sleep and all this was on the smallest dose and i called a stop to it we reduced it down till she was off it ,but i will say many people speak highly of it and say it has helped them lots her Consultant prescibed it for her ,my GP wouldn't mind you my GP wont do anything :?
